Introducing App Intents for Companion

In our Winter Release, we introduced Companion—a secure, on-device AI assistant designed to work seamlessly alongside you. Now, just three weeks later, we’re making it even more powerful with updates that enhance productivity and streamline your workflow.

App Intents

Companion can now interact directly with the apps you use every day, starting with Mail. Simply say, “Draft an email to Tyler asking about the latest product updates,” and Companion will not only generate the email but also open Mail and create a draft—ready for you to review and send.

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned as we expand App Intents to support even more of your favorite apps.

App Shortcuts

Companion goes beyond just opening the Mail app—it can launch any application on your computer with a simple command. Just ask, “Open TV” or “Open Maps,” and Companion will take care of the rest, making it easier than ever to access the tools you need as you're chatting with Companion.

Hide Inactive Chats

Easily declutter your chat list by hiding inactive conversations. Simply right-click the Companion icon in your system bar to hide chats that are no longer relevant. Perfect for keeping your workspace organized and focused.
